As we discern God’s vision for Good Shepherd, we ask members to pray daily. You can use this prayer or your own: O God, we give thanks for all of your blessings. We pray for Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Increase our passion to connect people to your love in Jesus. Give us your vision; help us to be attentive to your voice and fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit so that we may accomplish what you call us to do. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Women’s Book Study
For those who enjoyed The Book Women of Troublesome Creek, author Kim Michele Richardson offers another fine book of the conditions of rural Appalachia in the last century. Read about the courageous women who fought against ignorance and racial prejudice. This second book The Book Woman’s Daughter is available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
